Protect what matters to you
As a small business owner, you want to be able to monitor and protect all areas of your business. Security cameras offer an inexpensive solution to your monitoring and security needs. Considerably cheaper than full blown security guards, and now easily viewable whether you are on-site or off-site, security cameras help provide peace of mind at a reasonable price.
Information about security camera systems
A security camera system usually contains three aspects; a camera, a recoding device, and a viewing device.
Cameras:
Cameras these days are moving more towards wireless for ease of installation unless distance is a factor. Many security cameras now include infra-red (IR) night viewing capabilities and can produce crisp clear images. All of our cameras are IP-based and run on the same network as your computers and phones.
Recording:
If you want to keep your camera recordings for later playback you need a recording device. DVR stands for Digital Video Recorder and it is essentially a computer with a large hard drive to store digital video files. It will have embedded or loaded software that controls the cameras and images. Some cameras include DVR type software that will run on a spare computer you may have. Often the basic security camera software is free.
Viewing:
These days you don’t have to have someone hunched over the camera security console watching activities. All cameras can be recorded and can be viewed from your computer or browser enabled phone, including the Apple iPhone or iPod Touch. Remote monitoring and mobile viewing allows you to keep tabs on your business from anywhere in the world.
